Book Wrap Up: May 2017

Hello Everyone ,

It is time to wrap up all my May reads. It was a great reading month. I was on the most epic, romantic book high this month. Some of books such as the Wait for you series and Hundred Oaks are rereads and finishing the lastest series such as Falling Kingdoms - Book six release is 2018- and A court of Wings and Ruin. I had such a long hastle to get my copy for both my preorder and replacement copy got ruin in the mail and no fan art. It did get sorted it out and read it in a night. I also participated in the #50Here are the books that I have read in May. If you are reading this by the time I post, I will be relocating to a new city. I am really nervous but feel its going to be the best decision for me. Now most of theses books are rereads since I was really into a romance mood.

Bascially I was in the mood for some yummy, swoon worthy romance with a touch of magic.

Also,Happy birthday to all the Geminis ! My birthday was this month ( May 24th).

Here are the books I read in the Month of May;

He sighed aloud. “Why do I both to speak with you at all? We’ll never see eye to eye on any subject.” “Perhaps it’s because you have no one else to talk to?” The insult landed with a sting that he didn’t expect. A muscle in his scarred right cheek twitched. “How true. No one knows me like you do, princess.” She looked at him with a furrowed brow. “That was unkind of me to say.” “The truth is never unkind, princess. It’s liberating. Now, if you’ll excuse me.” Magnus turned and walked away from her before she could reply. We need to see more proud bisexual characters in any form of genre. I am virtually tipping my hat right now. “All I know is I’ve never felt that way, ever, for ….” His jaw tightened. “I don’t know Cleo. I can’t explain it, not even to myself. I’ve liked girls all my life, and I know I haven’t only been fooling myself. Girls are pretty and soft and… amazing. What I felt for you, especially for you.. that wasn’t fake or lie. I told myself. It was real. But with the prince…. I don’t know what to think. It’s not as if I’ve undergone some massive change and now want to kiss every boy that crosses my path.” “But you liked him. Perhaps more than liked him.” He rubbed his hand through his short red hair. “I barely knew him, Cleo. But… what I’d begun to feel, it…. Didn’t feel wrong.”

" Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth; where tireless striving stretches its arms toward perfection; where the clear stream of reason has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of death habit; Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action - Into that heaven of freedom, my father, let my country awake. "

I believe everything happens for a reason. Whether it is decided by the Mother, or the Cauldron, or some sort of tapestry of Fate, I don't know. I don't really care. But I am grateful for it, whatever it is. Grateful that it brought you all into my life. If it hadn't... I might have become as awful as that prick we're going to face today. If I had not met an Illyrian warrior-in-training," he said to Cassian, "I would not have known the true depths of strength, of resilience, of honor and loyalty." Cassian's eyes gleamed bright. Rhys said to Azriel, "If I had not met a shadowsinger, I would not have known that it is the family you make, not the one you are born into, that matters. I would not have known what it is to truly hope, even when the world tells you to despair." Azriel bowed his head in thanks. Mor was already crying when Rhys spoke to her. "If I had not met my cousin, I would neer have learned that light can be found in even the darkest of hells. That kidness can thrive even amongst cruelty." She wiped away her teas as she nodded. I waited for Amren to offer a retort. But she was only waiting. Rhys bowed his head to her. "If I had not met a tiny monster who hoards jewels more fiercely than a firedrake..." A quite laugh from all of us at that. Rhys smiled softly. "My own power would have consumed me long ago." Rhys squeezed my hand as he looked to me at last. "And if I had not met my mate..." His words failed him as silver lined his eyes. He said down the bond, I would have waited five hundred more years for you. A thousand years. And if this was all the time we were allowed to have... The wait was worth it. He wiped away the tears sliding down my face. "I believe that everything happened, exactly the way it had to... so I could find you." He kissed another tear away.” ― Sarah J. Maas, A Court of Wings and Ruin

“I didn't know what to say, but my heart was racing as he slid his hands down to mine. He placed them on his chest, right above his heart. "I have hope," he said, his gaze never leaving mine. "I have hope because I love you-I've been in love with you, Avery. Probably before I even realized that I was." "You loved me?" Cam dropped his forehead to mine and his chest rose sharply under my hands. "I love you." My heart stuttered. "You love me?" "Yes, sweetheart.” ― J. Lynn, Wait for You

“If you’re not careful,” I said, brushing imaginary wrinkles off the front of my riding habit and breeches, hoping the flush in my cheeks would come across as anger and not embarrassment, “you’ll be the one dragged here in bits and pieces.” Thomas tilted my chin up with a finger, his intent gaze setting my skin aflame. “I do love it when you speak so maliciously, Wadsworth. Gives my heart a bit of a rush.”

“Lex malla, lex nulla,” said Julian with a regretful wave of his hand. It was the Blackthorn family motto: A bad law is no law. “I wonder what other family mottoes are,” Emma mused. “Do you know any?” “The Lightwood family motto is ‘We mean well.’ ” “Very funny.” Julian looked over at her. “No, really, it actually is.” “Seriously? So what’s the Herondale family motto? ‘Chiseled but angsty’?” He shrugged. ‘If you don’t know what your last name is, it’s probably Herondale’?” Emma burst out laughing. “What about Carstairs?” she asked, tapping Cortana. “ ‘We have a sword’? ‘Blunt instruments are for losers’?” “Morgenstern,” offered Julian. “ ‘When in doubt, start a war’?” ― Cassandra Clare, Lord of Shadows
